Gail Rutland-Gillard's fantastic journey prior to becoming a full time artist is very noticeable in her paintings.
Her artistic pursuit started as she travelled to Rome to work as a fashion illustrator for an international fashion house “Italia Modes”. On her return to Australia, she worked as a promotional artist for John Fairfax. Soon Gail’s remarkable artistic talents were demanded by Kerry Packer for Woman’s Day and Woman’s Weekly. She illustrated short stores and novels for Judy Nun and Jackie Collins.
Today, her unbelievable one off pieces of art are full of so much interest, life and history.... read more
